This is a space dedicated to sharing and exchanging ideas related to learning language. We teach and learn language (teachers are learners too) because we want to connect with other people around the world through their system of thought and expression. When we speak another language, we articulate our thoughts and perspectives in a unique way, while also sensing that new ways of thinking and articulating are possible because of the language itself.
The World Language Department of the Tamalpais Union High School District created and maintains this site as a means of connecting with each other, with our immediate communities, and beyond. Education is a global campus – we enrich ourselves by stepping beyond the boundaries (physical, digital) of our individual schools.
We include the voices of students, parents, and community members in these posts because we consider them our colleagues.
